In March 2024, I had the absolute pleasure of filming Chloe and Joe’s wedding at the stunning Sitwell Arms in Renishaw, Sheffield. This charming venue, nestled in the picturesque countryside, was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was full of love, tradition, and beautiful personal touches. Although we were only with Chloe and Joe for a few hours, every moment was so meaningful, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple or a more beautiful setting to capture their special day.
A Traditional Farm-Inspired Wedding at The Sitwell Arms
As soon as I arrived at The Sitwell Arms, it was clear that Chloe and Joe's wedding was going to be unique. Coming from a farming family, they brought a lovely sense of tradition to their day, including the iconic pitchfork archway for the newlyweds to walk under. This beautiful gesture, passed down through the generations, was a wonderful way to honour their family heritage. If you're looking for rustic wedding ideas or a way to bring your family traditions into your wedding day, this is such a special touch to consider!
The Sitwell Arms was the perfect setting for their farm-inspired wedding, with its beautiful grounds and peaceful atmosphere. It was an intimate, personal celebration, and it was such a pleasure to be there, filming the couple's special moments and capturing their love story on film.
A Beautiful Pink Wedding Theme
The wedding had a soft, romantic vibe with a baby pink theme that tied everything together perfectly. From the flowers to the decor, the soft pink tones created a beautiful contrast against the natural greenery of the venue. It’s amazing how colour schemes can transform a space, and this one was both elegant and fresh. Chloe’s attention to detail in choosing her wedding theme really paid off, as everything felt cohesive and well thought out. Whether you’re planning a spring wedding or just love pastel hues, this soft pink theme was truly stunning.
An Emotional Ceremony with a Groom’s Tears
One of my favourite moments during the day was when Joe saw Chloe walking down the aisle. There's nothing more heartfelt than seeing a groom’s emotional reaction as his bride approaches him, and Joe didn’t disappoint. He wiped away a few tears as Chloe made her way toward him, and I loved being able to capture that beautiful, genuine moment. It’s one of the reasons I love being a wedding videographer – witnessing these real, unfiltered emotions and having the honour of documenting them. If you’re planning your own wedding, I highly recommend letting your emotions show – these moments make for the most touching memories. I always say, once that moment is gone- it's gone! Let yourself go and really be present in the moment.. Wanna cry? CRY! This is your day that you have (probably) waited a long time for. That's why being present is SO important, and so is capturing it all on camera- once the high emotions have settled, and your adrenaline is no longer keeping you going- you'll want to remember those moments exactly how they were. That's what I'm here for.
Celebrating with Family by the Lake
After the ceremony, Chloe and Joe took some time to mingle with their guests by the lake at The Sitwell Arms. The weather was perfect for an outdoor celebration, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and the company of family and friends. It was so nice to see Chloe and Joe take time to really soak in the joy of the day and connect with their loved ones. For me, capturing these candid moments of connection is one of the best parts of my job.
The couple also took a few private moments to walk around the grounds and have some photos and videos taken together. It was a beautiful, intimate time for them to reflect on their wedding day and enjoy each other’s company. I always recommend that couples take a moment to step away from the crowd and just be with each other – these quiet, personal moments often lead to some of the best footage.
Cake Cutting and Wedding Photos
Of course, no wedding day is complete without the traditional cake cutting! It’s such a classic wedding tradition, and I love being able to capture the joy on the couple’s faces as they cut their cake and share a piece with each other. As a wedding videographer, capturing these details is so important – it’s the small moments that make the big day unforgettable.
Working with John from LP Photography was also a highlight of the day. As the leading wedding photographer based at The Sitwell Arms, John is a true professional, and I really enjoyed collaborating with him. His expertise and relaxed approach made working together a breeze, and we were able to seamlessly cover all the key moments of Chloe and Joe’s wedding. If you’re looking for a photographer who knows the venue inside and out, John is the go-to person!
Perfect Weather for a Perfect Couple
We were lucky to have beautiful spring weather for Chloe and Joe’s wedding day. The sunshine made everything feel even more magical, and it was the perfect day for a wedding in Sheffield. The Sitwell Arms really shines when the weather is on your side – with its lush green surroundings and scenic views, it’s the ideal place to host a romantic outdoor wedding.
A Lovely Review from the Couple
Chloe and Joe were such a lovely couple to work with, and I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Their kindness, warmth, and appreciation for the work I do really made my day. After the wedding, they kindly left me a glowing review, and I was absolutely thrilled to hear that they were happy with the wedding video. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing that my work helped capture the memories that will last a lifetime.

From the emotional ceremony to the sweet moments by the lake, everything came together perfectly.
