Filming a Santorini Destination wedding in August
There are some wedding days that seem to have been made for the Mediterranean light, and Gemma & Tom’s beautiful August wedding in Santorini was one of them.
Set at the stunning Cavo Ventus, their destination wedding combined everything that makes Santorini such an incredible place to celebrate. Dramatic sea views, warm August sunshine, elegant details, beautiful music, and a day filled with genuine emotion made this a wedding that was unforgettable from beginning to end.
From the moment the day began, there was something incredibly special about the atmosphere.
Cavo Ventus provided the perfect setting, perched high above the Aegean with sweeping views across the sea. The natural beauty of Santorini did most of the decorating itself, with the deep blue water and endless horizon creating an incredible backdrop throughout the day.
For a wedding film, it was a dream location. Every angle offered something different, from the intimate moments between Gemma and Tom to the spectacular views surrounding their celebration.
A Stunning Santorini Wedding Venue
As the day moved into the evening, the atmosphere became even more magical.
Gemma and Tom’s guests gathered for dinner beneath beautiful chandeliers, creating an elegant contrast against the natural beauty of the Santorini landscape. The combination of candlelight, chandeliers, beautiful surroundings, and the open sea beyond made the reception feel effortlessly sophisticated.
It was one of those settings where every detail came together perfectly.
The chandeliers added a sense of occasion and intimacy, while the views reminded everyone that they were celebrating somewhere truly extraordinary.
