Peak Edge Hotel welcomed me back again — my second visit in just two weeks — and this time it was for Sam and James’ beautifully chilled wedding day. Same stunning setting, completely different energy, and that’s always one of the things I love most about this venue: every couple makes it their own.

Sam and James’ day felt calm and unhurried from the very start. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of quiet excitement. Nothing felt rushed or overly structured — just a day that unfolded naturally, exactly as it should.

Their ceremony took place later in the day, which made a lovely change. There’s something really special about an afternoon ceremony — the light softens, guests are fully settled, and the whole day feels a little more intimate. It suited Sam and James perfectly.

One of the most heartwarming parts of the day was seeing their children, who are absolutely beautiful and clearly the centre of their world. They were such a natural part of the day — full of character, smiles, and little moments that added so much meaning. Watching Sam and James together as a family was incredibly special, and it brought an extra layer of emotion to the entire celebration.

Peak Edge Hotel once again provided the perfect backdrop — calm, elegant, and quietly impressive without ever stealing focus from what really mattered. Guests spent time chatting, laughing, and simply enjoying being together, which really set the tone for the day.

And then came the bouquet toss — one of those moments that very nearly went wrong… but instead turned into one of the biggest laughs of the day. A split second of chaos, a lot of surprised reactions, and then everyone bursting out laughing. Those are often the moments people remember most — imperfect, spontaneous, and full of joy.

Sam and James’ wedding wasn’t about big statements or grand gestures. It was about family, connection, and creating a day that felt comfortable and true to them. A relaxed celebration, full of warmth, laughter, and genuine moments — and a lovely reminder that even at the same venue, no two wedding days are ever the same.

Another beautiful day at Peak Edge Hotel, and one I won’t forget.
